If it is the first time logging on or you clicked your invitation email from your VAN campaign admin or VAN State Party Admin, you will need to Create an ActionID.
Start by clicking on the “Create a New ActionID Account” link. We strongly recommend using a personal email as you will then be able to use the same account for future campaigns.
Fill out the fields with your details and agree to VAN’s Terms of Service.
You will then be prompted to verify your email address and turn on Two Factor Authentication (2FA). The verification email is sent automatically and you will need to complete this step in order to use Votebuilder.
Turning on 2FA is required of all VAN users. If you do not have 2FA enabled, you will not be able to log into VAN. No exceptions will be made to this policy for any reason.
Volunteers who do not have a VAN account (MiniVAN and OpenVPB users only) do not require 2FA for those tools.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use your ActionID to log into any NGP VAN product you have access to, including Votebuilder, NGP, MiniVAN, or OpenVPB.
